Art Directing Professional Photo Shoots

As an Art Director, I also had the chance to orchestrate multiple photo shoots. Because of my photography background and my enthusiasm to work with people, I have always been very interested to lend a hand when it came to photo shoots. I found myself either behind the lense myself or directing photo shoots since early on in my design career did. Besides in-house smaller scale product photography, I have directed multiple professional portrait and seminar photo shoots. Here are 3 different events where I was in charge of planning and directing the photo shoots, all under very tight deadlines.

April 2018 Editors Meeting

The Challenge: Capture professional portraits and group shots of editors talking to each other during an editors meeting. Don’t capture front profiles but rather side profiles that are professional but candid. Hire and direct photographer to the editors that needed pictures taken.
